City and Space

BOOK COVER, STUDENT WORK

MISSION

To design a book jacket for a hypothetical book about the careers of renowned architects of the 20th century.

CONCEPT

My approach involved incorporating elements of space and construction. The lines and abstract forms represent grid foundation and structural goals while the ambiguous blue and orange forms represent the somewhat surreal qualities of space I believe architects may imagine for their forms. Both aspects are shown as a duality needed and merged together to produce the reality of our way of living.
