Some Southern Spirit

PRINT, STUDENT WORK

MISSION

To design a stamp that was inspired by a location I traveled to.

CONCEPT

The location I used as inspiration for the stamp design was Tennessee. I visited TN in the summer of 2014, and while there I got to see several sights including canons, caves, and waterfalls on Lookout Mountain and bands and sculptures in downtown Nashville. I chose to design the boot sculpture and Civil War canon, along with their analogous color palette, because I believed these elements would depict this region's spirit fairly well.
