A CENTURY OF INFLUENCE

MISSION

To design the cover for a hypothetical book about the careers of renowned designers in graphic design history. Additionally, I was to also design interior spreads in the style of one of the listed designers. I chose to design for April Greiman. Finally, I was to print and bind the book together.

IDEA

Seeing that this book explored various expert designers throughout the 20th century—one of our most outstanding eras—I chose the number "100" and the colors gold, red, and black because these elements can convey excellence and triumph. Because this book consisted of designers with all kinds of approaches, I created the zeros of the 100 into the forms of a color wheel, signifying that each designer is like an individual color that helped illuminate the century.
