MISSION
To create an accordion book that contained designs of experimental typography, showing a transition from Apollonian (refined) type to more Dionysian (crude) type. I was to design only with a quote by Italian writer Cesare Pavese in his series of short stories titled Dialoghi con Leuco (Dialogues with Leuco).
IDEA
I treated the accordion book as a found treasure that held Pavese's literature—the quote. Each spread is the form of the quote gradually revealing itself and expanding as if the viewer is discovering the power of its meaning.
