HONOLULU SEAWATER COOLING
MISSION
The Honolulu Seawater Cooling Project was an innovative sustainability mission by local engineers who triumphed in converting seawater into air conditioning for Downtown Honolulu. I was one of two designers to create the identity and visual language for this operation.
IDEA
The project’s brand idea, Simply Sustainable, held that: by simply using the power of nature, locals would be able to realize their future as a beautiful, thriving, and energy-resilient island. This truth is finely expressed by a mark that carries the transformation of cold water to cool air and (in the shape of an abstract H, S, and C) captures the essence of Hawaii’s fluid and harmonious spirit.
