ROOTED CHURCH

MISSION

Church planter Ronnie Goble needed an identity for a new church he’d establish in the Woodward Corridor (a region in Oakland County, MI comprising cities like Royal Oak and Southfield). The goal was to develop a contemporary church brand that would both accurately reflect the gospel and the communities it would serve.

IDEA

In keeping with Ronnie’s vision of capturing the region he’d plant the church in, I designed a mark according to some of his sketches. What came was an R monogram that contains lines representing the boundaries of the cities, but also representing the metaphor and scripture of tree roots firmly planted (or rooted) in the Word of God.
